Thrift Tool was founded in 1990 by Walt Jones.

Leaving behind his management position at a successful machine shop in the area, Walt pursued his dream of starting his own business. He began in his own garage with only a lathe, a Bridgeport mill, and a surface grinder.

In the following years Walt’s son Jeff joined the company and together they began to take Thrift Tool to new heights. By the Early 2000’s Jeff had begun to run the company on his own and continued to push the business forward towards success.

Over thirty years later, the company is still steadily growing and adapting to changing demands. Jeff together with his three sons: Nathan, Casey, and Steve continue to serve the manufacturing industry. From day one we have been committed to supplying Quality, Value and Service to our customers.

We are currently housed in a modern 8,000 square ft. building with quality late model equipment.
